Doctor Pham Van Thinh, Director of General Hospital No. 2, spoke at the scientific meeting.
At the scientific meeting, the reporter of the Cardiovascular Center - General Hospital No. 2 presented the Holter electrocardiogram (ECG) recording method. This is one of the highly effective methods for diagnosing cardiovascular disorders.
Specifically, holter ECG is a method of continuously recording electrocardiograms over a certain period of time, applied for about 24-28 hours. The holter ECG machine records the electrocardiogram while wearing the machine on the patient's chest, showing parameters such as: Average heart rate, slowest/fastest in one hour, number of arrhythmias in one hour, helping to detect abnormalities that occur intermittently, not during the time of doing the electrocardiogram at the clinic. Through the results of holter ECG, the cardiologist will have accurate diagnoses and effective treatment directions for patients with heart disorders.

In the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases, telediagnostics helps detect and classify arrhythmias, assess transient myocardial ischemia, monitor treatment effectiveness and detect potential complications. This is also a relatively safe method, with almost no side effects for patients.

The scientific activity aims to improve knowledge and capacity to apply technology in clinical examination of cardiovascular diseases, thereby improving the quality of treatment for patients at Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 2.
