Green tree nursery club supplies the Tet market with 500,000 flower pots of all kinds.

(HG) - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024, the Green Tree Nursery Club of Long Phung A hamlet, Hiep Hung commune, Phung Hiep district, supplied the market with more than 500,000 flower pots of various kinds: marigolds, chrysanthemums, cockscombs and ornamental peppers. Of which, marigolds account for 90%. Currently, 80% of the club's flowers are ordered by traders in Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, at a price of 11,000 VND per pot. After deducting costs, members still make a profit of 60% on each flower pot.

This year, input costs, such as: material prices, pesticides, labor, have increased by about 10% compared to previous years. To help club members feel secure in growing flowers, Phung Hiep district has supported more than 325 million VND, supporting 50% of the cost of plastic pots, seeds, bougainvillea roots, and funds from the project of producing ornamental flowers associated with eco-tourism development.
