"Although I expected to get a perfect score, this morning, when the official results came out, I was overwhelmed with emotions," Nguyen Le Hien Mai - one of the eight top students in block A00 shared.

Nguyen Le Hien Mai, 12th grade Chemistry major, Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted ( Phu Tho ), is one of the 8 valedictorians of block A00 nationwide, with perfect scores in Math 10, Physics 10, and Chemistry 10.

Sharing with VietNamNet reporter, Hien Mai said that since her primary school years, Mai has been particularly interested in Math and natural sciences. Mai studied these subjects not only to get high scores, but also because she wanted to explore logic, practice critical thinking and satisfy her desire to learn about nature.

According to Hien Mai, after winning first prize in the 2021-2022 provincial excellent student competition, Mai was directly admitted to Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted. This is a premise to help her improve her knowledge and achieve high scores in the 2025 high school graduation exam.

"Right after the Ministry of Education and Training announced the answers, I also predicted that I would most likely get a perfect score in the three subjects Math - Physics - Chemistry, but this morning when I got the official test results, I was sure and overwhelmed with emotion," Mai said.

Sharing her secret to getting high scores, Nguyen Le Hien Mai said that after school hours, she does not spend too much time on memorizing and solving problems, but at home she focuses on digging deeper and understanding the knowledge thoroughly, thereby finding connections to solve all the questions.

Besides studying, Mai spends time playing sports and participating in social activities to develop skills, physical fitness and mental relaxation.

Commenting on the excellent student, Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan, homeroom teacher of the 12th grade Chemistry class, shared that Hien Mai is the class monitor of the Chemistry class and one of the excellent students for 3 consecutive years.

Hien Mai studied all subjects equally and especially excelled in the three subjects of Math - Physics - Chemistry. In particular, in Chemistry, Hien Mai won first and second prizes in the provincial excellent student competition. In addition, in the assessment exams throughout the three years of high school, Mai always held the top position in block A00.

"Not only is Mai an excellent student, her soft skills are also very good. In particular, she regularly participates in social and community activities," Mr. Tuan shared.

According to Mr. Tuan, the school had predicted that Hien Mai would get high scores, but being the valedictorian of block A00 made him and other teachers feel like it was an unexpected "gift".
