Along with the growth of the legal profession nationwide, the team of lawyers of Binh Thuan Provincial Bar Association has developed continuously, always striving to fulfill the mission of protecting justice, fairness, and democracy, thereby contributing to the socio -economic development of the province.

Contribute to law making and judicial reform

Binh Thuan Bar Association is currently managing and supervising the activities of 34 law practice organizations (28 law offices and 6 law firms). Currently, the total number of members of Binh Thuan Bar Association is 85 lawyers, an increase of 32 lawyers compared to the previous term. There are currently 18 law trainees (12 people have completed their law practice training and are preparing documents for KQTSHNLS examination), 83 lawyers with bachelor's degrees in law and equivalent, 2 lawyers with master's degrees in law.

The Chairman of the Bar Association is a member of the National Bar Council for the 2021-2026 term and a member of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front. During the 9th term (2019-2024), with the efforts and positivity of the Executive Board, member lawyers and law practice organizations have operated with better quality and dynamism than in the previous term. Accordingly, during the term, in many forms, the Bar Association has sent members to participate in sessions to contribute ideas to the drafting of legal documents organized by the Ministry of Justice , the Vietnam Bar Federation, the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Notably, the Bar Association has participated in contributing to amending and supplementing 40 law projects such as: Land Law (amended), Consumer Protection Law (amended), Price Law (amended), Housing Law (amended), Bidding Law (amended), Law on Credit Institutions (amended)... The Bar Association also sent lawyers to contribute constructive opinions to documents of other agencies when requested. The lawyers of the Association have participated in giving opinions with a high sense of responsibility and contributed many practical opinions, close to the reality and reality of the country and the locality. Thereby contributing to the perfection of institutions, contributing to the judicial reform and the general development of the country and the province.

Raising awareness and respect for the law among the people

During the past term, the Executive Board of the Binh Thuan Bar Association also paid special attention and proactively assigned tasks to law practice organizations to ensure that lawyers participated in 100% of cases as requested by the prosecution agencies. Thanks to that, the Association's lawyers participated in the proceedings of 446 criminal cases as requested by the prosecution agencies. In addition to protecting the right to defense of suspects, defendants, victims, etc., lawyers also play an important role in determining the objective truth of the case, helping the prosecution agencies to try the right person, the right crime, the right law, and not let criminals escape... In addition, the Association's lawyers always actively participate in providing legal aid in the form of legal advice at the practice organizations and mobile legal aid organized by the Binh Thuan Provincial State Legal Aid Center and the Provincial Lawyers Association. The lawyers of the Group are collaborators of the Binh Thuan Provincial State Legal Aid Center, assigned by the center to participate in the proceedings in 272 cases of all kinds at the People's Courts at all levels to defend and protect the legal rights and interests of subjects receiving legal aid under the Law on Legal Aid. The lawyers have coordinated with the Binh Thuan Provincial State Legal Aid Center to provide mobile legal aid in communes, wards and towns in the province. Many legal issues raised by the people have been answered by the lawyers on the spot, the problems have been resolved, the people have agreed to support and hope that the lawyers will regularly conduct mobile legal aid sessions at the grassroots level, to improve people's understanding... Coordinate to organize legal propaganda and provide legal support for prisoners and convicts at Huy Khiem Prison, Thu Duc, and police detention centers in the districts. On the other hand, lawyers who are collaborators of the Provincial Bar Association were introduced to participate in litigation at courts at all levels to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee and the Phan Thiet City People's Committee in 263 administrative lawsuits.

Every week, the lawyers of the Association also coordinate with the Department of Justice, the Provincial State Legal Aid Center and Binh Thuan Radio and Television Station to provide legal advice to people on television. During the past term, many lawyers of the Association were awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province, the Provincial Lawyers Association, and the Provincial State Legal Aid Center to recognize the contributions of lawyers in the work of the Binh Thuan Bar Association.

Lawyer Nguyen Toan Thien - Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial Bar Association said that in the face of the new era of the nation's rise, in the coming term, the Association will strive to overcome difficulties and promote the effectiveness of the Bar Association's Executive Board. Thereby, improving management and operation capacity to create solidarity and unity within the Bar Association. Special attention will be paid to political education, ideology, professional ethics, organizational work and participation in contributing to the drafting and amendment of the Constitution, laws and other important political tasks of the province. In addition, the Association will ask lawyers to actively participate in litigation activities, legal aid, legal advice and other activities related to law. Encourage lawyers to strive to study, improve and update new legal knowledge to improve their qualifications and professional skills as well as participate in social activities and community charity to affirm the position, role and enhance the prestige of the legal profession. Build and perfect the organizational structure of the Bar Association, ensuring truly effective and transparent operations. Strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance with regulations on professional ethics, strictly handle violations. Promote propaganda and promotion of the legal profession to attract qualified and qualified people to join the Association...

It must be affirmed that the Binh Thuan Provincial Bar Association is gradually affirming the position and role of lawyers to protect justice, protect the rights and legitimate interests of individuals, agencies and organizations, contributing to socio-economic development, building a rule-of-law state. Thereby actively contributing to judicial reform activities and the international integration trend that the province is aiming for to develop in the new era, the era of national development.

Law practice organizations under the Binh Thuan Provincial Bar Association have defended and protected the legal rights and interests of individuals and organizations and provided other services in a total of 3,592 cases, including: Participating in litigation in 1,164 cases (including 446 cases at the request of the prosecuting agency), providing legal advice and other legal services in 1,444 cases, representing outside of litigation in 93 cases, providing free legal aid in 681 cases...
