Chau Phu performs 2 political tasks

In the first months of 2025, Chau Phu district focused on implementing the task of socio -economic development. In the agricultural sector, the locality focused on implementing the Project "Sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission specialized rice associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030". In the winter-spring crop of 2024 - 2025, the district mobilized farmers to cultivate 2,126 hectares of rice according to the production process: Reducing seeds, fertilizers, pesticides... Of which, there are 16 models (more than 250 hectares) implementing 8 contents in the technical cultivation process of the project.

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, Chau Phu district has 8/11 communes meeting new rural standards, 3 communes meeting advanced new rural standards. Social security policies and "gratitude" are fully, promptly and properly implemented. Regarding the Program on Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, the district has 167 households (including 49 households with revolutionary contributions, 118 poor and near-poor households) eligible for support. To date, new construction and repairs have been completed on schedule.

The district also focuses on administrative reform; coordinates with agencies and units to self-assess and score the administrative reform index in 2025; supports the resolution of difficulties and problems of enterprises and cooperatives, in order to unblock resources, ensure state budget revenue, and promote growth. The locality has completed collecting voters' opinions and voting on important contents on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units. Accordingly, Chau Phu commune was established on the basis of merging Cai Dau town, Binh Long commune, Binh Phu commune; My Duc commune was established on the basis of merging My Duc commune, Khanh Hoa commune; Vinh Thanh Trung commune was established on the basis of merging My Phu commune, Vinh Thanh Trung commune; Binh My commune was established on the basis of merging Binh My, Binh Thuy and Binh Chanh communes; Thanh My Tay commune was established on the basis of merging Thanh My Tay, Dao Huu Canh commune and O Long Vi commune.

To successfully carry out the tasks in the second quarter of 2025, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Chau Phu District Party Committee Vo Nguyen Nam requested that the Party Committee, government, and sectors of the district continue to strengthen solidarity and successfully carry out the political tasks set out at the beginning of the year. In particular, strengthening supervision of studying and following the example of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in 2025 for branches and affiliated Party Committees; replicating the model of "Ho Chi Minh and Ton Duc Thang Cultural Space" in places of worship, "Friendly Government for the People to Serve"; focusing on building and effectively maintaining skillful mass mobilization models.

At the same time, pay attention to leading the implementation of the Party's guidelines and the State's laws and policies on religion and ethnicity. Strengthen public opinion assessment related to the fight against ideological, moral and lifestyle degradation; fight against corruption, waste, opportunistic lifestyle, pragmatism, and sayings that do not match actions of Party members and officials. Continue the Party's inspection, supervision and disciplinary work, focusing on Party organizations, leaders, key leaders and managers in areas and positions prone to negativity and signs of violations.

Regarding the socio-economic development task, the locality continues to implement the Project on sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality rice; consolidate and innovate the organizational structure and operation of cooperatives and cooperative groups; support farmers in accessing enterprises to consume agricultural products; prevent and combat natural disasters, and respond to climate change. At the same time, speed up the implementation progress and disbursement of capital for key projects and works, promptly remove difficulties. Strengthen state management and inspection in the fields of construction order and land management, especially public lands managed by the State.

The advisory and support agencies of the District Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the District People's Committee implement the process and advise on reviewing the criteria for assessing the capacity and ethics of cadres, civil servants, and workers as a basis for arranging and assigning them to work at the newly established unit. The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the District Party Committee focuses on political and ideological orientation, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, resolutely fighting and refuting the wrong views of hostile forces...
