Having failed in the women's football event at the 33rd SEA Games, host nation Thailand now only has hope left for the men's football final between U22 Thailand and U22 Vietnam, which will take place at 7:30 PM on December 18th at the Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok).
At the 33rd SEA Games, host country Thailand did not sell tickets to watch the competitions. Instead, fans wishing to attend the events had to register on the official website of the sport they wanted to see. A single phone number could register for a maximum of two tickets. A QR code would be sent to the registrant.
Therefore, Thai fans tried to access the official SEA Games 33 website to "hunt" for tickets to the Rajamangala Stadium to cheer on their U22 team, especially after confirming that Vietnam's U22 team would be their opponent in the final.

Because the east stand (Zone E) of the Rajamangala Stadium is being used for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 33rd SEA Games, the stadium organizers plan to release only about 30,000 tickets for the final match.
The limited number of tickets, coupled with high demand, resulted in a sell-out for the final match. The large number of people attempting to enter simultaneously meant that ticket registration was not quick or successful, regardless of whether the fans were from Thailand or Vietnam.
Vietnamese people living and working in Thailand, as well as Vietnamese fans traveling from their homeland, faced difficulties registering for tickets on December 16th. For example, a group of 20 fans from Ha Tinh province still hadn't been able to get tickets by the afternoon of December 16th. "We've been checking the organizer's website for ages but haven't been able to get tickets," said Nguyen Sy Quan.
We also tried booking tickets on the official SEA Games 33 website and found that very few tickets were left. Vietnamese fans were assigned to Zone N, but there were fewer than ten tickets remaining. Similarly, Thai fans assigned to Zone W and Zone S also had very few tickets left.
In the semi-final match where Thailand U22 defeated Malaysia U22 1-0, the Rajamangala Stadium welcomed 19,659 spectators.
