Candidates who copied exam papers and brought them home had all their results of the Competency Assessment exam canceled.

During the High School Aptitude Assessment (HSA) exam, a candidate from Thai Binh who took the exam for the second time was suspended and had all of his exam results revoked for using documents and copying exam questions.

At 5:30 p.m. on May 14, 2023, the High School Student Assessment (HSA) Examination Council of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) completed the fifth exam session (HSA 305) according to the 2023 exam plan.

The 305th exam session was held at 07 locations in Hanoi including the VNU Testing Center, VNU University of Technology, VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU University of Natural Resources and Environment, Banking Academy, Thang Long University, Phenikaa University and 03 out-of-province exam locations at Nam Dinh University of Technical Education, Hong Duc University (Thanh Hoa), Hai Phong Department of Education and Training.

On May 13-14, 2023, the number of candidates registered to attend was 12,471, of which 96.7% were present to take the exam.

The testing sites have issued 08 records of suspension of candidates for violating the Competency Assessment Examination Regulations of VNU, notably a candidate from Thai Binh who took the exam for the second time was issued a record of suspension and had all exam results canceled for using documents and copying exam questions.

This candidate's HSA test scores, the first time on April 8, 2023 and the second time on May 14, 2023, were both 114/150.

According to the VNU Competency Assessment Exam Regulations, candidates who are suspended from the exam will have all HSA exam results canceled, will be stopped from serving the remaining exam sessions (if any) and will be notified to relevant parties.

Up to now, the High School Student Assessment Council of VNU has organized HSA exams for 55,858 candidates and suspended 38 candidates who violated the regulations.

HSA exam score distribution for March-April 2023 exams

HSA score reports of candidates who took the previous exam have been sent to candidates by mail.

Candidates can look up the 305 Exam Score Report shipping form by logging into their HSA exam account at http://khaothi.vnu.edu.vn/ after May 20, 2023.

Returned score reports from previous exams due to no recipient or incorrect address will be distributed at the VNU Testing Center every afternoon from Monday to Wednesday.

Previously, the VNU Examination Center announced the score distribution of the first four rounds according to the standard distribution, the average score is 75.2/150; the median is 75/150; the standard deviation is 13.7.
The highest score of the candidate was 129/150, the lowest was 31/150. Compared to the same period in 2022, the average score in 2023 decreased by 2.4 points. The score distribution is stable in each exam period, the number of candidates scoring 100 points or more accounts for 4.4%.
