The Department of Rural Development surveys and consults on HACCP standards for agricultural production facilities - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

On November 12, a working group of the Rural Development Department (Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province) coordinated with the consulting unit Vu Quang Science and Technology Investment and Development Joint Stock Company to conduct a survey and provide guidance on the implementation of HACCP standards at a number of agricultural production and processing facilities in the province.

At Bao Chau Production and Trading Investment Company Limited (Tan Thinh Residential Group, Phuc Hoa Commune), the working group inspected the operating line, processing and packaging areas and guided the enterprise to complete quality management records according to HACCP standards. The company currently operates in the field of starch production and starch products made from black jelly, and also consumes raw black jelly in some areas in the province.

The company's products are processed from raw black jelly plants, through a refining process into black jelly powder for export to the Chinese market. Being consulted and guided on the application of HACCP standards is an opportunity for businesses to standardize production processes, ensure food safety, and at the same time aim to design packaging and develop products to serve the domestic market, while maintaining stable exports.

On the same day, the delegation also worked at the Bitter Tea and Trading Enterprise - Cao Bang Minerals and Metallurgy Joint Stock Company (Hoa Chung 6 Residential Group, Tan Giang Ward), directly consulting on technical stages, processing and reprocessing the production facility in accordance with HACCP standards. The delegation guided the rearrangement of the preliminary processing area, controlled drying temperature, improved ventilation system, cleaned equipment and established production recording procedures. In addition to surveying the factory, the delegation learned about the bitter tea raw material area, assessed the ability to supply stably and guided the management of the growing area in a safe and traceable direction.

The working group provided technical advice, processing and research on bitter tea raw material areas at the Bitter Tea and Trade Enterprise - Cao Bang Minerals and Metallurgy Joint Stock Company.

According to the Department of Rural Development, this survey and consultation is part of the plan to ensure food quality and safety, increase processing and develop the agricultural market by 2025. Applying HACCP standards helps production facilities proactively control food safety risks, creating a foundation for Cao Bang agricultural products to meet international standards, gradually expanding export markets.
