Industrial production index increased by 8.5%

In the first 7 months of this year, the province's industrial production index increased by 8.5% over the same period last year. In July, the processing and manufacturing industry continued to be the driving force for growth, with an increase of 1.78% over the previous month and 10.22% over the same period last year.

The water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry also recorded a strong increase, equivalent to 20.85% over the same period; the electricity production and distribution industry increased by 5.38%.

On the other hand, the mining industry recorded a decrease of 5.22% compared to the same period last year. In the first 7 months of this year, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 8.7%; the mining industry increased by 9.19%; and the water supply and waste and wastewater treatment industry increased by 16.45%.

In addition, the electricity, gas, hot water and air conditioning production and distribution industry decreased by 7%. Although the increase of 8.5% is lower than the average increase of 7 months in 2022 (11.24%), this index is higher than the results of the same period in 2023 and 2024... This is a positive signal in the context of the economy continuing to recover after the merger and general fluctuations of the world market.
