Tam Chung Border Guard Station gives breeding animals to poor families in the area.

Tam Chung Border Post (Muong Lat) is responsible for managing and protecting 7.347km of border with 4 border markers (from marker 270 to marker 273). On the outskirts, opposite is Pung village, Huoi Hien village cluster, Sop Bau district, Hua Phan province (Laos). In Tam Chung commune, there are 8 villages, with 837 households/4,011 people, with 6 ethnic groups living (Mong, Thai, Kinh, Muong, Dao, Kho Mu). To effectively carry out mass mobilization work, the unit has sent 3 party members to participate in party cell activities in 3 border villages (On village, Suoi Phai village and Poong village); 2 party members have been appointed as deputy secretaries of 2 party cells in On village and Suoi Phai village. 28 party members have been assigned to be in charge of 127 households in the border area. In addition, officers and soldiers of Tam Chung Border Post, together with other border posts, have actively coordinated with local Party committees and authorities in border areas to effectively carry out propaganda and mobilize the masses to participate in protecting border sovereignty and security. In the border areas, self-managed security teams have been established; many groups, households and individuals have registered to participate in protecting the border and national border markers. With the extended arm of the masses, the border posts have been helped to promptly grasp and resolve incidents related to security and order occurring in the border areas, protecting the safety of the national border and border markers.

At Trung Ly Border Guard Station, in recent years, the unit has always focused on the work of eliminating illiteracy and preventing re-illiteracy for people in the management area. Identifying this as a difficult and long-term task, first of all, it is necessary to change people's awareness, making people determined to "conquer letters", the unit has coordinated with local departments, branches, and organizations, especially the Commune Women's Union, to deploy many forms and measures of propaganda and mobilization for the people. The station has sent cadres to each family to mobilize and persuade people to participate in literacy classes, with the spirit of "those who do not know how to read and write should go to school, those who know how to read and write should study more to avoid re-illiteracy". In carrying out the task of participating in eliminating illiteracy for the people, there have been many "Green-uniformed teachers" who have not been afraid of difficulties, actively mobilized and persuaded people to attend classes.

Major Nguyen Van Thien, Political Commissar of Trung Ly Border Guard Station, said: "In recent times, the unit has promoted the emulation propaganda of "skillful mass mobilization", building a "Good mass mobilization unit" according to President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, creating a strong change in the awareness and actions of cadres, party members and soldiers. Mass mobilization work must "go first to pave the way", "skillful mass mobilization" will arouse internal strength, create consensus, and contribute to firmly protecting the Fatherland's borders".

Implementing the motto of focusing on the grassroots, with diverse, rich and flexible contents and forms, the Border Guard officers and soldiers have done a good job of propagating and mobilizing the people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and consolidating the great national unity bloc. The soldiers have proactively coordinated and participated in building the political system at the grassroots level, contributing to promoting socio -economic development; implementing national target programs on sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, ensuring political security, social order and safety.

Thanks to the good coordination in mass mobilization work, over the years, the prestige of the Border Guard among the ethnic groups in the border areas has always been maintained. The ethnic groups continue to promote the tradition of patriotism, solidarity, trust in the leadership of the Party, and actively participate in the cause of building and protecting national sovereignty and border security.
