
The strategy aims to build a civilized, modern, and sustainable retail market, in line with the domestic trade development orientation and international commitments of which Vietnam is a member. The development orientation is also linked to the trends of e-commerce, digital economy , green economy, and sharing economy.
The strategy strives for total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue to increase by an average of 11.0 - 11.5% per year by 2030. E-commerce sales to increase by 15 - 20% per year, accounting for 15 - 20% of total retail sales and consumer service revenue nationwide. About 40 - 45% of small and medium enterprises will participate in e-commerce platforms.
