Accordingly, 18educational units in Christchurch City (New Zealand) will come to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on May 17 and 18 respectively to open simulation classes. Participating in these classes, students will participate in the "tower building" challenge through an interdisciplinary combination of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), social sciences, arts, and English, then receive a certificate issued by ENZ and the Christchurch Education Association (CE).

The event took place within the framework of the Christchurch Education Fair organized by ENZ and CE, which is open to the public and completely free of charge. This is also the second time the parties have organized this event in Vietnam. "By simulating a classroom, we provide students and parents with a true perspective of New Zealand's practical teaching style," said CE's regional director of international education, Stefi Porter.

Christchurch is New Zealand's second largest city, currently attracting more than 7,500 international students, including 130 students from Vietnam. The city is ranked 79th in the QS Best Student Cities 2025, and its three local universities are all in the top 2% of universities in the world .

Also in May, ENZ will hold the "Hello Summer - Hello New Zealand" event in Hanoi , with the participation of New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam Caroline Beresford. The event is designed as a "mini summer camp" with game stations, interactions with students who have studied abroad in the Kiwi country and answering questions about New Zealand. The activity will take place on May 18.

Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, ENZ collaborated with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City to organize the New Zealand Cultural Discovery Day on May 24, creating conditions for students to entertain themselves through an interactive game area, while listening to the experiences of studying and living in New Zealand from the alumni community. "We hope these activities will inspire students to explore learning experiences and career opportunities," said ENZ's Asia Regional Director Ben Burrowes.

According to statistics from ENZ, 69,133 international students will enroll in education providers in New Zealand in 2023, an increase of 67% compared to 2022, with the majority concentrated in universities. Of these, 1,736 are from Vietnam, an increase of 10% compared to the previous year but still about half the record (3,042 in 2019), with the largest concentration also in universities (1,120) and then secondary schools (308).
