On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, with the approval of the Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, on the morning of August 21, in Hanoi, the People's Army Newspaper organized the launch of the Russian-language People's Army Newspaper online.
Major General Doan Xuan Bo, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper, chaired the ceremony.
Also attending were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko; Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency Doan Thi Tuyet Nhung; representatives of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Journalists Association , the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association, etc.
The People's Army Newspaper is the organ of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense , the voice of the armed forces and people of Vietnam.
Along with propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, military and defense activities, and reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the masses, the People's Army Newspaper is also an important foreign information channel.
The People's Army Newspaper has published the People's Army Newspaper online in English, Chinese, Lao, and Khmer, making an important contribution to promoting foreign propaganda and consolidating and enhancing friendship with international friends. The launch of the People's Army Newspaper online in Russian is part of the development roadmap of the soldier newspaper, which has been approved by superiors.
According to Major General Doan Xuan Bo, with this new publication, the People's Army Newspaper aims to strengthen the foreign information work of the Party and State of Vietnam in general, focusing on Russian-language defense diplomacy on the People's Army Newspaper online; contributing to promoting and introducing the country and people of Vietnam, and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
At the same time, the publication contributes to educating and raising awareness among the younger generation as well as officers and soldiers of the armed forces about the responsibility to preserve and expand the good traditional relationship between Vietnam and Russia; actively fighting against wrong views, distortions, and sabotage of solidarity and development cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
The Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper said that despite many difficulties, the Russian Language Department has initially built and shaped a rich, diverse appearance, in line with the orientation of the People's Army Newspaper online.
In the context of diverse information and faster-than-ever information speed like today, the content conveyed to the public, especially to foreigners, needs to meet the motto of "steady, standard, easy to accept."
With that approach, Major General Doan Xuan Bo hopes that the People's Army Electronic Newspaper will closely follow the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, strictly and creatively implement the propaganda orientation of the Editorial Board; and have new perspectives and approaches suitable to the current development of journalism.
At the ceremony, Major General Doan Xuan Bo, Ambassador Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko and delegates performed the button-pressing ceremony to launch the Russian-language People's Army Newspaper at ru.qdnd.vn.

Congratulating the launch of the Russian-language People's Army Newspaper, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Vietnam Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko said that cooperation in the field of defense and security in general, as well as information exchange in the field of defense and security in particular, plays a very important role in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Russian Federation and Vietnam.
Ambassador Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko hopes that with the Russian-language People's Army Newspaper, Russians will be able to access the latest information in Vietnam; learn more about Vietnam, Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements and strengthen Vietnam's prestige in the international arena, thereby contributing to further promoting the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries./.
