Cho Moi completes plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people with meritorious services

On the morning of April 29, Cho Moi district held a conference to summarize the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people with meritorious services in the area.

Implementing the direction of the Central and the province, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Cho Moi District has actively mobilized all resources to support the construction and repair of 66 houses for people with meritorious services. Of these, 7 new houses were built and 59 houses were repaired.

After a period of effort, the district has completed 65 houses, reaching a rate of 98.4%, ensuring the "3 hard" standards (hard foundation, hard frame, hard roof). The remaining 1 household and family agreed not to repair. The total cost of building 65 houses is over 2.72 billion VND; of which the budget supported 1.5 billion VND, the family contributed more than 1.13 billion VND, socialized 90 million VND, and 427 working days.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Cho Moi District People's Committee Doan Thanh Loc acknowledged and praised the determination and sense of responsibility of all levels, sectors and localities in implementing the program. In the coming time, to better care for people with meritorious services, the District Party Committee and People's Committee will continue to review and promptly update information on housing for people with meritorious services in the area. Proactively develop a plan to support housing repair and upgrade for newly arising cases. At the same time, strengthen the mobilization of social resources, mobilize the participation of the whole society to care for people with meritorious services.

On this occasion, 3 collectives and 28 individuals with outstanding achievements were commended and rewarded by the People's Committee of Cho Moi district.
