The workshop "President Ho Chi Minh and the national liberation movement in Africa, Vietnam-Morocco relations" took place in the capital Rabat of Morocco on May 31.
The workshop was organized by the Central Propaganda Department in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Morocco and the Office of the High Commissioner for Former Resistance War Veterans and Former Members of the Moroccan Liberation Army, within the framework of the visit and work in Morocco of the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam , led by Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department. The workshop attracted the participation of many scholars and researchers on Vietnam in Morocco, along with many international friends and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Morocco.
In his speech on the topic "President Ho Chi Minh and the history of Vietnam's relations with African countries, especially Morocco", Professor Abdallah Saaf, Director of the Moroccan Center for Social Science Research, emphasized: President Ho Chi Minh is a symbol of the struggle of small nations against colonialism and imperialism.
Professor Saaf affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh realized that only the strength of national unity combined with international solidarity could create the necessary aggregate strength for the success of the Vietnamese revolution. The struggle of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh contributed greatly to the national liberation movements in the 20th century in many countries. In addition to providing political support and demonstrating solidarity in the struggles for self-determination and national independence around the world, Vietnam also supported many liberation forces in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America by sharing experiences and training leaders.
Former Resistance War High Commissioner and Former Moroccan Liberation Army member Mustapha El Ktiri praised the greatness of President Ho Chi Minh and emphasized that it is undeniable that Vietnam's Dien Bien Phu Victory under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh had a positive influence on national liberation movements in Africa, marking the beginning of the liberation from Western colonial oppression.
In his concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed the important significance of the conference taking place on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. He emphasized the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the cause of national liberation of Vietnam and oppressed peoples around the world, as well as the Vietnam-Morocco friendship that President Ho Chi Minh laid the foundation for.
