On June 18, the Department of Investigation Police on Crimes of Corruption, Economy, Smuggling, and Environment, the Provincial Police coordinated with Market Management Team No. 1, the Provincial Market Management Department, to inspect the passenger bus with license plate 25F-002.09, Hanoi - Dien Bien route, which was stopping to deliver goods at Group 3, Chieng Sinh Ward, Son La City, and discovered 5 foam boxes containing viscera and frozen animal products without invoices or documents of origin, emitting a foul odor, with a total weight of 476 kg.

Authorities confiscated food of unknown origin.

The driver, Luong Van Chinh, residing in Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province, confessed that the food was transported from Hanoi to deliver to customers in Son La City. The authorities have drawn up an administrative violation report against the driver for transporting goods of unknown origin. At the same time, the exhibits were confiscated and handed over to Market Management Team No. 1 for handling according to regulations.
