On the evening of June 17, according to information from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the Vietnamese team with 5 students participating in the 9th European Physics Olympiad excellently won 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal and 1 certificate of merit from the Organizing Committee.
The Gold Medals were awarded to 2 students: Nguyen Tran Hieu, Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Bac Ninh;
Nguyen Le Dang Khoa, High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Silver Medal belongs to Tran Nguyen Khai, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An.
Bronze Medal belongs to Cap Kim Hoang Bao, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang.
Ha Tuan Kiet, Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Bac Ninh received a certificate of merit from the Organizing Committee.
The European Physics Olympiad is open to high school students from European countries and some guest countries outside the continent, including Vietnam. Each participating country sends 5 students to take part in 2 parts: theory (5 hours) and practice (5 hours).
Following the direction of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi University of Science and Technology coordinated with the Vietnam Physics Association to organize a delegation to participate in the 9th European Physics Olympiad, taking place from June 13 to 17 in Bulgaria.
The EuPhO Vietnam 2025 team was selected based on the results of the National Excellent Student Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
