Having joined the crowd silently lining up to visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum a few years ago, journalist Gaston Fiorda still remembers the emotions of that special trip.
From a Western journalist’s perspective, that emotion is not simply admiration, but also historical recognition. He is not only the leader of the Vietnamese people, but also the voice of oppressed peoples seeking freedom.
It has been 56 years since Uncle Ho passed away, but his ideology, morality, style and great heart are still the light illuminating the path forward for the Vietnamese people - and the spiritual support for many friends around the world./.
