On the afternoon of January 7, at the Presidential Palace, the Office of the President coordinated with the Supreme People's Procuracy to organize a ceremony to announce and present the President's decision to appoint Deputy Chief Prosecutors and Prosecutors of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
The decision-giving ceremony was attended by Party Central Committee members: Le Khanh Hai, Head of the Office of the President ; Hoang Dang Quang, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Organization Committee; Nguyen Huu Dong, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee; Pham Gia Tuc, Deputy Head of the Party Central Office. Also present were comrade Nguyen Huy Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy and representatives of the leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, and units of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
President Luong Cuong presented the decision to appoint the position of Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy to comrades Nguyen Hoai Nam, Senior Prosecutor, Director of the Department of Prosecution and Investigation of Economic Cases, Supreme People's Procuracy; Lieutenant General Tran Hai Quan, Commander of the Guard Command, Ministry of Public Security; and at the same time appointed comrades Nguyen Duc Thai, Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy and Tran Hai Quan, Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, to hold the position of Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
Speaking at the decision-giving ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, congratulating the three appointed comrades, the President affirmed that this is not only an honor and pride for each comrade in particular and for the People's Procuracy in general, but also the trust of the Party and State in assigning them more important and heavier tasks.
The President emphasized that the People's Procuracy has an extremely important position and role as an agency that exercises the right to prosecute and supervise judicial activities; has the task of protecting the law, protecting human rights, citizens' rights, protecting the socialist regime, protecting the interests of the State, and the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals, contributing to ensuring that the law is strictly and uniformly enforced.
To meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation, the President requested that the appointed comrades continue to cultivate and train their political qualities, be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; maintain their qualities, revolutionary ethics, professional ethics, be exemplary in complying with and strictly implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; have a deep understanding of the role and position of the People's Procuracy in general and the responsibilities of prosecutors in particular; uphold the spirit of respect for the law, preserve and protect the law, be completely impartial, upright, objective, impartial, honorable, and take the lead in life and work.
The President noted that it is necessary to always be united, modest, simple, and closely attached to cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the People's Procuracy at all levels and to the people; continue to improve capacity and qualifications in all aspects; actively research and proactively work with the leadership of the Supreme People's Procuracy to promptly advise the Party and State to promulgate guidelines, policies, and laws on judicial work and judicial reform.
The President requested that comrades proactively work with the leadership of the Supreme People's Procuracy to closely coordinate with relevant agencies and units to promptly and effectively implement the Party's policy on reorganizing and perfecting the organization and apparatus of the political system in general and the organization and apparatus of the People's Procuracy in particular, ensuring streamlining, effective and efficient operations, associated with the arrangement, organization and settlement of regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the People's Procuracy.
The President requested that the appointed officials make efforts together with the leadership of the Supreme People's Procuracy to continue to innovate methods and come up with many specific and practical solutions to further improve the quality of all aspects of professional work and take care of building a clean and strong Party organization; build a comprehensively strong People's Procuracy sector, and build a team of officials, civil servants and public employees who are "Fair, upright, objective, cautious and modest" as beloved Uncle Ho taught.
The President believes that the three comrades appointed to the positions of Deputy Chief Prosecutor and Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy will continue to uphold and promote the glorious tradition of the People's Procuracy, and strive to excellently fulfill their assigned tasks.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the comrades who had just been awarded the decision, the new Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy Nguyen Duc Thai expressed his honor and emotion to receive the appointment decision from the President; affirming that this was an honor for himself and his family, and at the same time a great responsibility before the Party, the State and the people, before the team of civil servants, public employees and workers of the entire People's Procuracy sector.
Receiving the President's direction and assignment of tasks, comrade Nguyen Duc Thai emphasized that these are important orientations for the appointed officials to devote all their heart, mind and strength, together with the Party Executive Committee and the leadership of the Supreme People's Procuracy, to focus on effectively performing the functions and tasks of the Industry, meeting the requirements of judicial reform, and entering a new era with the country, an era of national growth.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Thai affirmed that in his new position, he will be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; continue to train his political mettle, maintain his revolutionary ethics and professional ethics. Be an example in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; uphold the responsibility of setting an example; strive to study and follow the ideology, ethics and style of President Ho Chi Minh, first of all, practice Uncle Ho's teachings that a people's procuracy officer must be truly "Fair, upright, objective, cautious and modest"; constantly study to improve his capacity, qualifications and leadership methods.
The new Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy promises to abide by discipline and work with the highest sense of responsibility; maintain solidarity and unity within the Party Executive Committee, the leadership of the Supreme People's Procuracy and key leaders of the Industry; closely coordinate with relevant agencies in the process of performing tasks; and will constantly strive to excellently complete the assigned tasks in the new position, worthy of the attention of the Party and State leaders, the trust and confidence of the leadership of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the expectations of the staff, civil servants, public employees and workers of the People's Procuracy.
