Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Jussi Halla-aho was born in 1971 in Tampere, Finland. Mr. Jussi Halla-aho holds a Master's degree in Russian Language and Literature from the University of Helsinki and a PhD in Slavic Languages ​​and Cultures from the University of Helsinki.

In 2008, Mr. Jussi Halla-aho became a member of the Helsinki City Council. He has held various positions in international organizations. During the periods of 3/5/2011-20/6/2012 and 16/2/2022-4/4/2023, he was a member of the International Affairs Forum. During the period of 10/10/2013-30/6/2014, he held the position of Deputy Head of the Finnish Delegation to the Council of Europe. He was a Member of the European Parliament during the period of 2014-2019. During the period of 9/2/2022-4/4/2023, he was Deputy Head of the Finnish Delegation to the Nordic Council. From 21/6/2023, he became President of the International Affairs Forum. In the Finnish Parliament, he holds the positions of Chairman of the Administrative Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee. He was a Member of the Finnish Parliament from 20 April 2011 to 21 April 2015. He has been a Member of the Finnish Parliament since 17 April 2019. He is the Chairman of the Finns Party from 2017 to 2021. He has been the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament since 21 June 2023.
