Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac is an ancient land rich in historical traditions, with a long-standing, rich and unique culture and civilization, the cradle of the ancient Vietnamese people; the place to worship the Vietnamese ancestor - Kinh Duong Vuong; the ancient citadel of Luy Lau is the place where the first urban residents in Vietnam were formed, the oldest cultural and religious center in our country; the place where Buddhism was first spread to Vietnam; the earliest school to teach Chinese characters and culture in our country; the birthplace of the Ly Dynasty - the dynasty that opened and built the Dai Viet civilization; the place with the most great scholars in the country, especially 16/46 Trạng Nguyên (accounting for 1/3 of the whole country). That heroic history and long-standing cultural tradition are the great endogenous resources, the precious spiritual foundation for Bac Ninh to stand firm on the journey of rapid, comprehensive and sustainable development.

In particular, Tu Son is a special land in the process of cultural and historical development of the nation. With a central location in the Red River Delta, with high and open land, it is the northeastern fence of the capital Thang Long - Dong Do - Hanoi, a place with outstanding cultural characteristics compared to other localities. Tu Son is also a land with a brilliant economic and cultural development, the birthplace of many talented scholars in various fields, in every era there are heroic and typical figures who have devoted themselves to their homeland and country.

In modern times, Tu Son is a typical revolutionary and resistance place. It is the safe base of the Party Central Committee, the place where many Central leaders come and go to work, especially the place where the historical Directive "Japan - France shoot each other and our actions" was born. This place also produced and nurtured excellent children, outstanding communist soldiers, making important contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation such as comrades: Nguyen Van Cu, Ngo Gia Tu, Le Quang Dao... History, tradition, depth of cultural foundation and the typical qualities of Tu Son - Bac Ninh people have contributed to brightening the golden pages of history of the nation.

Currently, Tu Son is the gateway of Bac Ninh province and the second center of economy, culture, education, and services of Bac Ninh province; playing an important role in promoting the socio-economic development of the region. Tu Son is also an important location connecting Bac Ninh province with the Hanoi capital region, located in the Northern key economic region, with a favorable investment and business environment; is an urban area located on a major economic corridor through important traffic routes, connecting provinces, cities, and major economic development centers of the country with many modern, synchronous industrial parks.

Ly Thai To (real name Cong Uan) was born in the year of Giap Tuat 974 at Co Phap Pagoda (also known as Ung Tam Pagoda) in Dinh Bang Ward, Tu Son City today. The 1015th anniversary of King Ly Thai To's coronation is an important event to honor, remember and pay tribute to King Ly Thai To - the founder of the Ly Dynasty, who had great merit in moving the capital from Hoa Lu to Thang Long in 1010.

The coronation of Ly Thai To and subsequent decree to move the capital from Hoa Lu to Dai La citadel, naming the new capital Thang Long, not only had strategic geopolitical significance, but also demonstrated the far-sighted vision and outstanding character of a wise king. The founding king of the Ly dynasty also issued many economic development policies, expanded foreign relations, and built a prosperous dynasty that lasted for 216 years and lasted through 9 kings. The Ly dynasty was not only considered the most "benevolent" dynasty, but also the most meritorious dynasty in the history of the nation.

At the ceremony, Bac Ninh received 3 extremely special heritage values:

Firstly, the Certificate of National Monument ranking for Dinh Bang Communal House - the most typical architectural work in Kinh Bac region, not only has historical - cultural - architectural value, but is also a symbol of community spirit, the pride of Tu Son people in particular, Bac Ninh in general.

Second, the National Monument ranking certificate for the Memorial House of Comrade Le Quang Dao - an outstanding son of his hometown Dinh Bang, an exemplary leader, the first Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - who left many marks in the process of building and defending the country.

Third, the Decision to recognize the National Treasure for the golden seal “Hoang De Chi Bao” - a special antique, a symbol of power and a testament to an important historical period of Vietnam, marking an important milestone in the transition from the monarchy of more than a thousand years to the democracy of the Vietnamese people - the state of Vietnam - the Democratic Republic, the predecessor of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh era, at the same time it is of special artistic value.

These heritage values ​​affirm the special role and position of Bac Ninh in the history of the country's formation and development, and at the same time pose a great responsibility for the work of preserving and promoting cultural heritage values ​​associated with sustainable development.
