According to a report from Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, the contractor of Package 12, the project has completed about 88% of the work. This package includes two main items: renovating and upgrading the technical infrastructure of Thuy Van Street, 3.2 km long, and building Thuy Van Park on an area of about 19.21 hectares.
Since the April 30 - May 1 holiday, many items have been put into trial operation and received positive feedback from residents and tourists. Some notable highlights include the coastal food court, Song Ngu Square, 3D mapping light show, check-in bridge and 2.2 km long coastal walking path.

The remaining work, accounting for about 12%, is mainly high-tech items such as underground technical service stations and artistic roofs. The construction unit is mobilizing maximum human resources, equipment and organizing overtime to ensure progress.
Regarding other packages, the Management Board of Investment, Construction and Land Fund Development Project of Vung Tau City said that it is currently constructing 2 out of 5 pedestrian tunnels, expected to be completed before August 15. The remaining three tunnels are waiting for related enterprises to start construction.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho requested to speed up the progress, ensure safety and quality of the project. This is a key project and also one of the major policies of the province to turn Ba Ria - Vung Tau into a high-quality, international-class tourism center. Although the project is being implemented according to the design, during the construction process, there will be small adjustments to add highlights, better meeting the needs of the people and tourists. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the entire project will be put into use no later than August 15.
