Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with TKV Group

According to TKV's report at the working session, the group currently has three units operating in Lam Dong, including Lam Dong Aluminum Company - TKV (LDA), Lam Dong Bauxite - Aluminum Complex Project Management Board (BNLĐ) and Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Company. The two key projects are Lam Dong Bauxite - Aluminum Complex with a capacity of 650,000 tons of aluminum/year and Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Plant with a capacity of 150 MWp.

By the end of 2024, TKV's units had achieved remarkable results, producing a cumulative 7.47 million tons of alumina and 5.89 million MWh of electricity. At the same time, the group contributed over VND 7,000 billion to the state budget and carried out social security work with a total budget of VND 327 billion.

However, in 2024, alumina output has reached the plan, but the output of covered soil and raw ore (NK) has not been achieved due to problems related to compensation and site clearance.

Looking forward to the 2025-2030 period, TKV aims to maintain stable operations of Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Plant with an output of about 550,000 MWh/year. In 2025 alone, the group plans to produce 4.3 million tons of raw ore, 650 thousand tons of converted alumina, achieving revenue of VND3,441 billion, contributing VND588 billion to the budget and creating jobs for over 1,300 workers.

Notably, TKV plans to expand the Lam Dong bauxite-aluminum complex from a capacity of 0.65 million tons to 2.0 million tons of alumina/year and invest in a new Lam Dong aluminum electrolysis plant with a capacity of 0.5 million tons of aluminum ingots/year. The group is also striving to speed up the implementation of two bauxite ore exploration projects in Loc Lam - Loc Phu and Tan Thuong, with an estimated reserve of nearly 94 million tons of ore, while investing in three alumina mining and production projects in the Lam Dong cluster, along with an aluminum electrolysis project with a total investment of nearly VND79,000 billion.

Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - General Director of the Group made a speech, made some recommendations and expressed that KTV will seriously and best implement its commitment to the locality. He hopes that in the coming time, they will coordinate to best perform the tasks assigned by the Government .

TKV also reported positive results in its coordination with Lam Dong province, especially in the areas of resettlement, compensation, site clearance, and social security in the area. The group also said it focuses on restoration, environmental protection, landscape, and timely resolution of related complaints.

At the same time, it proposed that the province adjust the area of ​​land plots and plan additional new resettlement areas, as well as promptly issue instructions and decide on processing costs to be deducted when calculating resource tax.
