It is known that recently, on social networks, there has been a lot of unofficial information, incorrect information about some social housing investment projects in Ca Mau province, such as information about receiving applications for registration to buy, rent, rent-to-own social housing, social housing prices, etc., causing misunderstandings for people in need of social housing, leading to some people contacting state agencies to submit applications to buy social housing while no social housing project in Ca Mau province has officially announced the time to start receiving applications and start selling social housing on the website of the Department of Construction of Ca Mau province. This has negatively affected the real estate market.

In that situation, to strengthen management and promptly correct inaccurate and incorrect information on social networking platforms about social housing projects, Ca Mau Department of Construction has sent a Notice to state management agencies, investors and organizations and individuals in the province.

In the announcement, the Department of Construction of Ca Mau affirmed: Up to now, in Ca Mau province, there has been no announcement to receive applications for registration to buy, rent, or rent-to-own social housing.

The social housing project in Tan Xuyen ward, Ca Mau city (3.44 ha) has completed construction of 93 units, continues to construct the next items and has not yet announced the receipt of applications for registration to buy, rent, or rent-purchase social housing.

Thereby, the Department of Construction requests state management agencies, investors, organizations and individuals to coordinate in promoting propaganda and informing people about the above information, as well as official channels for people to know, look up, monitor and implement when there is a need for social housing.

For the Commune People's Committee, it is necessary to implement this content in many appropriate forms so that local people can easily and quickly access propaganda information. Proactively organize the implementation of the responsibility of the Commune People's Committee in confirming housing conditions and income conditions for people who need to buy or rent-purchase social housing according to the provisions of Articles 29 and 30 of Decree 100/2024/ND-CP dated July 26, 2024 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Housing Law on the development and management of social housing, and other relevant regulations. At the same time, strengthen management, supervision and promptly report to competent authorities when detecting cases of posting, sharing, and disseminating fake information, false information about social housing investment projects.

The Department of Construction also requested that investors of social housing construction investment projects in the province be responsible for implementation and must provide information on social housing construction investment projects in the order and procedures for selling social housing in accordance with the provisions of Article 38 of Decree No. 100/2024/ND-CP dated July 26, 2024 of the Government. Social networking platforms must not be used to publish inaccurate information or information that is not within the duties and authority of the investor.

According to the Department of Construction, there are currently 13 social housing projects in the province. Of which, the social housing project in Tan Xuyen ward (Ca Mau city) has completed construction of 93 units (there has not yet been a notice to receive registration files for purchase, rent, or hire purchase); the social housing project in Hamlet 5, Ward 9 (Ca Mau city) has just started construction in May 2025; 1 project is expected to start construction in September 2025; the remaining projects are in the stage of site clearance, preparing legal documents to prepare for investment.
