"It's an honor for me to train with Son," striker Bui Vi Hao said about his teammate Nguyen Xuan Son. The naturalized Brazilian player cannot yet play for the Vietnamese national team. However, in training sessions, the striker who holds the record for goals scored in a season in the V.League is integrating well and creating a positive effect.
Vi Hao added: " We learned a lot from him in terms of movement and skills as a striker. In my position, all competition is fair, everyone works together towards the common success of the team."
Striker Nguyen Xuan Son was only allowed to play for the Vietnamese team from the last match of the group stage.
Bui Vi Hao is the starting choice of coach Kim Sang-sik in the match against Laos. The young player of Binh Duong plays energetically but has not made an effective mark. It is not certain that the striker born in 2003 will keep his starting position, but in any case, he and his teammates need to be prepared.
"The match against Indonesia is very important. This is a strong opponent. The Vietnamese team must prepare more carefully and focus more than the match against Laos.
The Indonesian defense has many young players of the same age as me. In the left wing position, I may have to face the oldest and most experienced player in the Indonesian squad. That will be difficult for me as well as the whole team," Bui Vi Hao commented on the upcoming challenge.
After the training session this afternoon (December 12), the Vietnamese team can watch their opponents compete. The Indonesian team will play Laos at home at 8 p.m. In addition, coach Kim Sang-sik and his assistants will also arrange separate video analysis meetings for the Indonesian team.
"In the near future, closer to the match day, the whole team will watch Indonesia's match video and prepare carefully for this match. This is a difficult match, we will wait for the tactics and follow the instructions from coach Kim Sang-sik and the coaching staff," said Bui Vi Hao.
