After participating in Viettel 's talent internship program for six months, 101 students were recruited by the corporation, even though many had not yet graduated from university.
At the conclusion of the 4th season of the Viettel Digital Talent program, Viettel announced that 101 outstanding students have been hired, the largest number of recruits in the program's four years of operation, including some who have not yet graduated from university.
The remaining 78 students continued their studies at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Student Nguyen Mai Anh was awarded first prize for technological innovation by the Chairman and CEO of Viettel Group after completing a 6-month talent internship.
The Talent Internship Program is a collaborative training model between universities and businesses. This model is used by many large technology corporations worldwide , but it is being implemented in Vietnam for the first time by Viettel. To participate in the program, students must pass a rigorous application process.
This year, with 3,000 applications (1.5 times more than in 2023), the organizing committee selected 179 candidates for training and internships at key projects within the group. During the 6-month internship, the first 3 months are dedicated to intensive training, followed by the next 3 months where students demonstrate their skills on projects, acting as full-time employees of Viettel. The goal is that upon completion of the program, students will be able to contribute their suggestions to ongoing projects, products, and solutions.
At the closing ceremony, Viettel Group awarded prizes to 10 students with the most outstanding technological innovations. Nguyen Mai Anh (University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) won first prize (intern in Data Engineering). Sharing second prize were Nguyen Thi Ha Lan (FPT University) and Nguyen Quang Huy (University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
