The Dubai Airshow is one of the world's leading international air shows . This year's show has nearly 1,500 exhibitors from 98 countries , with nearly 200 aircraft on display . Dubai Airshow 2025 also showcases the latest advances in aviation and defense technology.
The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense's participation in the Dubai Air Show demonstrates its deep interest in international cooperation in the defense industry; affirming that the Vietnamese Government and Ministry of National Defense always create conditions to enhance cooperation according to the principles of equality, mutual benefit and respect for Vietnamese laws and other international commitments.

At the exhibition, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien and his delegation visited and met with defense enterprises from the UAE and many other countries. The Senior Lieutenant General suggested that the parties promote exchanges and explore cooperation possibilities in line with their capabilities, aiming to unify the direction for developing defense industry cooperation in the coming time.

On the occasion of visiting and working in the UAE, attending the Dubai Airshow 2025, on the afternoon of November 17, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Viettel Military Industry - Telecommunications Group and the UAE's EDGE Group.
The signed Memorandum of Understanding is expected to create a solid foundation for the potential for extensive cooperation in the field of high-tech defense industry; outline a roadmap for joint initiatives of mutual interest , including the potential to develop an original equipment manufacturing model in Vietnam for components and modules connected to the EDGE product line, targeting the UAE and other export markets , expanding opportunities for research, exchange , technology transfer, and technology training cooperation.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien congratulated Viettel and Edge on signing the Memorandum of Understanding, and suggested that the two sides continue to maintain close contact and coordination, concretize the agreed contents, and develop plans to implement specific cooperation activities in key areas.
