Prepare carefully for the High School Entrance Exam for the 2025-2026 school year

In Quang Ninh , the High School Entrance Exam for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 1 and 2 for general students, and June 3 for students taking the exam for specialized 10th grade. According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, up to now, the High School Entrance Exam for the 2025-2026 school year has 15,769 candidates registered for the exam, a decrease of 83 candidates compared to the previous year (in 2024, there were 15,852 candidates registered for the exam). The number of candidates registered for specialized classes at Ha Long Specialized High School is 1,009 candidates, a decrease of 90 candidates compared to the previous year (in 2024, there were 1,099 candidates registered for the exam).

This is the first year the province has organized primaryschool enrollment according to the 2018 General Education Program with many innovations; organized in the context that the whole country is implementing the arrangement and organization of the 2-level local government apparatus and changes in the arrangement of the inspection agency system.

Based on the number of registrations and enrollment targets approved by the Provincial People's Committee, it is expected that the whole province will have 32/37 high schools organizing entrance exams, corresponding to 32 Examination Councils; there are about 670 examination rooms.

To ensure the success of the exam, the Department of Education and Training has reviewed and developed a plan to prepare facilities, equipment, and personnel to participate in organizing each stage.

From April 22-24, 2025, the Department of Education and Training directly inspected the preparation of facilities and conditions to ensure the organization of exams in localities in the province, especially at exam locations that are expected to arise or have a large number of exam rooms; at the same time, it required schools to have an Examination Council to report on the preparation work for organizing exams at the unit. Through inspection and synthesis of reports, basically the units have proactively prepared facilities and conditions to ensure the organization of exams in accordance with regulations. In particular, the areas for storing exam questions and papers, the rooms for storing exam questions and papers are all safe and secure; plans to ensure fire prevention and safety, camera surveillance systems, security conditions, and safety of the exam hall are all ensured. Regarding the personnel plan to participate in organizing the stages of the Exam, the Department requires participating staff, especially the head of each stage, to ensure the prescribed standards and conditions on capacity, quality, and expertise to complete the task well. According to the plan, the whole province will mobilize 2,500 staff, teachers, employees and coordinating forces to participate in performing tasks at the Examination Councils to ensure the correct and sufficient structure, composition and quantity according to regulations (including both official and reserve). Of which, the expected examination invigilator force is 2,300 people.

Based on the announced exam structure and instructions from the Department of Education and Training, schools in the province have been urgently reviewing knowledge for grade 9 students to help them have the best preparation for this transition exam.
