Before participating in the 2024/25 Champions League final, coach Luis Enrique had led his team to 10 finals since entering his coaching career. As a result, he won all 10 times.
Luis Enrique's first final as a coach was exactly 10 years ago. It was the 2014/15 Copa del Rey final, where his Barca beat Bilbao 3-1. A week later, the Asturian-born tactician enjoyed another triumph in the 2014/15 Champions League final, when Barca won 3-1 again, this time against Juventus.
The win took Barca to the European Super Cup, where they beat Sevilla 5-4. During his time in charge of the Catalans, Luis Enrique also won the FIFA Club World Cup final 3-0 against River Plate, and two more victories in the Copa del Rey final in 2016 (2-0 against Sevilla) and 2017 (3-1 against Alaves).
Luis Enrique has remained unbeaten in finals since moving to PSG. In his first season, he won the Trophee des Champions after a 2-0 win over Toulouse, then beat Lyon 2-1 in the Coupe de France final. In his second season, the story repeated itself. His PSG side beat Reims 3-0 in the Coupe de France final, and Monaco 1-0 in the Trophee des Champions.
In his career, Luis Enrique has only lost one final, at the 2021 Nations League. However, that was at the national team level, when he led the Spanish national team. At the club level, the 55-year-old strategist is aiming for his 11th final victory, and at the same time becoming the second coach after Pep Guardiola to win the treble twice at two different clubs.
