Mr. Doan Tien Trung, Deputy Head of the Education and Training Department of Cau Giay District, said: “We are living, studying, and working in the capital city with a thousand years of cultural heritage. From the time Thang Long rose like a flying dragon when King Ly Cong Uan chose it as the capital, to the present day, Thang Long - Hanoi has gone through many historical ups and downs.”

In the course of that thousand-year history, October 10, 1954, is a glorious milestone marking the defeat of French colonialism in Vietnam, ushering in a new era of development for the capital and the country. Inspired by that victory, the Cau Giay District Department of Education and Training is organizing a Robotics competition for primary and secondary school students in 2024 with the theme "Hanoi – A City for Peace ".
The competition aims to widely disseminate among cadres, teachers, staff, and students the glorious history and tradition of studiousness of education and training in the capital city of Thang Long - Hanoi; to awaken pride, promote the strength of national unity, and work together to build and develop the capital city into a "Cultural - Civilized - Modern" city.

“The competition is not only a challenging and creative playground where students have the opportunity to showcase their talents, creative thinking, and ability to apply technology to life, a place for them to test their skills with advanced technologies, but also an opportunity for them to cultivate teamwork, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills,” Mr. Doan Tien Trung emphasized.
At the end of the competition, in the primary school category, the organizing committee awarded first prize to Nghia Tan Primary School; second prize to Nguyen Sieu Primary School; and third prize to Trung Yen and An Hoa Primary Schools.
In the junior high school category, the organizing committee awarded first prize to Nghia Tan Junior High School; second prize to Ngoai Ngu Junior High School; and third prize to Tran Duy Hung Junior High School andFPT Cau Giay.

Previously, in accordance with Plan No. 18/KH-PGDĐT dated June 25, 2024, of the Cau Giay District Department of Education and Training, 44 schools in the district, including 20 secondary schools and 24 primary schools, registered to participate in the competition. The competition was held in two rounds: The qualifying round took place on September 19 and 20, 2024.
The competing teams, along with their robots, recreated historical events associated with sacred landmarks of the capital city such as: Cau Giay Gate, Quan Chuong Gate, Dong Mac Gate, Cho Dua Gate, Cau Den Gate, and the Hanoi Flagpole.
