Continuing the increase of more than 10 points from the previous session, the market recorded positive developments in the trading session on May 14 when VN-Index quickly regained its upward momentum after the early session's fluctuations and broke through an important psychological milestone. Investor sentiment was clearly improved thanks to large cash flows into large-cap stocks, especially market leaders. Although liquidity in the entire market decreased slightly in the morning session, large-cap stocks in particular increased sharply, showing the concentration of cash flows into stocks with high influence.
In the afternoon session, trading was more active and vibrant, with some large-cap stocks rising sharply, thereby expanding the green color of the indices. In particular, foreign demand played a key role in creating momentum, not only contributing to increasing liquidity but also supporting the index to maintain a positive trend. Divergence was still present in the group of small and medium-sized stocks, but did not create much pressure on the general trend.
At the end of the trading session on May 14, VN-Index increased by 16.3 points (1.26%) to 1,309.73 points. HNX-Index increased by 0.95 points (0.44%) to 218.88 points. UPCoM-Index increased by 0.34 points (0.36%) to 94.89 points.
