US stock market increased strongly in the session of November 10
US and European stocks rose in early trading on Monday, following progress in negotiations to end the longest government shutdown in US history.
At the end of last night's trading session, Vietnam time, all three major Wall Street indexes increased, with Nasdaq jumping 2.27%. Investor sentiment has improved after the US Senate made important progress, paving the way for a temporary budget bill that will help the federal government reopen until the end of January 2026. The reopening of the government is seen as an important driving force to restore confidence and promote capital flows into the market in the context of economic data being disrupted due to the government shutdown. In Europe, most major stock markets also increased, pushing the region's STOXX 600 index up 1.42%.
Investors believe the government could reopen in the next few days and see this as a good sign for consumers, investors and the tourism sector, according to expert Jack Ablin of Cresset Capital.
Analysts say the reopening of the government could provide more data on inflation and the labor market, key factors influencing the US Federal Reserve's decision to cut interest rates next month.
Trade Nation senior analyst David Morrison said that if all goes well, some federal agencies could open as early as November 14. He noted that since early October 2025, neither the Fed nor investors have had much economic data, making it difficult to assess the market.
The government shutdown, now in its 41st day, has investors focused on the possibility of a quick resumption of operations, as well as concerns about disruptions to food assistance for low-income households and the potential for airline disruptions as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches.
XTB’s head of research, Kathleen Brooks, said the return of risk sentiment has made last week’s sell-off seem less significant. She said that unless expectations for a Fed rate cut change significantly and chipmaker Nvidia doesn’t report weak earnings next week, stocks could still rally through the end of the year.
