Attending the program were experts, scientific researchers in the field of agriculture, leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association, Mai Son Commune People's Committee, and 200 delegates representing agricultural cooperatives, farmers of Mai Son Commune and neighboring communes.
At the program, delegates discussed with experts and scientists some technical issues related to varieties, cultivation and post-harvest technology to improve the productivity and quality of some key fruit trees in the Northern midland and mountainous regions; cultivation techniques and care of plum, pear and coffee trees; and orange production techniques in the direction of food hygiene and safety (VietGAP).
In addition, farmers are also provided with information on post-flood environmental treatment; warnings about dangerous diseases that are breaking out in pigs and solutions to control them; disease prevention in pigs during the changing seasons; and dangerous parasitic diseases that are common in concentrated poultry farming.
The program is a useful playground for farmers to exchange and learn, exchange information, support each other, and consolidate their knowledge of science and technology to serve local agricultural production.
