Ho Chi Minh City Police Club will host the reigning runner-up Hanoi in the opening match of V-League 2025-2026 at 7:15 p.m. today (August 16,FPT Play THTT) at Thong Nhat Stadium.

Ho Chi Minh City Police Club was once a big name in city football in the 1990s. The team won the national championship in 1995, finished second in 4 seasons 1993-1994, 1996, 1999-2000, 2001-2002 and then dissolved.
