Nam Dinh Green Steel Club extends long-term contract with Nguyen Xuan Son and key players

Accordingly, Nam Dinh Green Steel Club officially announced reaching an agreement to extend contracts with 13 players, most notably the long-term contract with striker Nguyen Xuan Son.

The naturalized striker of the Vietnam national team will continue to stay with the team from Thanh Nam for another 6 years, until the end of the 2030-2031 season.

Nguyen Xuan Son is currently one of the outstanding stars of Nam Dinh Green Steel Club and an important pillar in the Vietnam national team squad. He will turn 34 when his contract ends.

In previous shares, Xuan Son has affirmed his desire to play for a long time at Thien Truong Stadium and considers it his "second home" in his career. Signing a contract until 2031 is a clear demonstration of the commitment and desire to contribute of the striker born in 1997.

Along with Xuan Son, Nam Dinh Steel Club also extended the contracts with two foreign players, Lucas Araujo (until the end of the 2025-2026 season) and Caio Cesar (until 2028). These are the faces who showed impressive performance and made great contributions to the team's playing style last season.

In addition, a series of other domestic players also had their contracts extended from 3 to 4 years, including: goalkeeper Tran Nguyen Manh, defenders Duong Thanh Hao, Nguyen Van Vi, Nguyen Phong Hong Duy, Tran Van Kien, midfielder Ly Cong Hoang Anh, Tran Van Dat, Le Vu Phong and two young goalkeepers Tran Liem Dieu and Nguyen Dinh Son.

The early retention of key players shows Nam Dinh's long-term strategy and determination to create stability. The team at Thien Truong Stadium is aiming to build a solid framework for the 2025 season as well as the following seasons, when the race in V.League is increasingly fierce and requires thorough investment in both personnel and playing style.

The simultaneous renewal of key players also shows the strong transformation of Nam Dinh Club, from a team that was used to fighting relegation, now gradually asserting its position in the top competitive group in V.League.
