CMC accompanies Sao Do enterprises to promote IT security

CMC Cyber ​​Security, a member of CMC Technology Group, organized an in-depth sharing session on information security for businesses of the Sao Do Business Club.

The program was attended by leaders, security experts of CMC Cyber ​​Security and representatives of Sao Do Business Club enterprises. The event was organized with the aim of raising awareness, responsibility and proactive ability to prevent security risks from Sao Do Business Club business representatives, especially in the context that large enterprises in Vietnam have recently encountered serious ransomware attacks causing IT system disruptions. Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Tran Hieu - Head of CMC Cyber ​​Security Product Operations Department said: “For cases that have not been attacked, the IT team of the unit needs to regularly update security patches, assess risks and develop response plans, thereby conducting security checks in parallel with always backing up data. The human factor that businesses also need to focus on through training employees on information security and identifying common threats. For units that fall into attack, businesses need to stay calm to quickly apply pre-prepared incident response plans in parallel with isolating affected systems to prevent the spread and using data backup to restore affected systems. At the same time, fix identified security vulnerabilities, if any.” Attending the program, the representative from PV Oil, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Bao - Head of IT Department of PVOIL Oil Corporation also shared about the case of their IT system being attacked recently, thereby emphasizing the importance of being prepared and responding promptly. Mr. Le Phung Thang - Vice President of Sao Do Business Club said: "The sharing session took place in a timely manner in the context of the ransomware issue becoming urgent. Through this, Sao Do Club members clearly understood the importance of network security and were equipped with a lot of knowledge to ensure information security, thereby adjusting at the enterprise to suit the new situation".
