Specifically, due to the storm, there were some incidents on the 500kV and 220kV transmission lines in Nghe An and Ha Tinh. However, up to this point, the incidents have been basically resolved and the lines have returned to normal operation.

Storm No. 5 has disrupted power supply in many areas, mainly in Thanh Hoa , Nghe An and Ha Tinh. With urgency, the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) has mobilized local vehicles and human resources and increased forces from many other units to support, determined to restore power as quickly as possible to affected customers.

Hydropower plants under EVN; including Power Generation Corporations, in the areas affected by storm No. 5 still ensure construction safety. As of 11:00 a.m. the same day, there were 11 hydropower reservoirs carrying out regulated discharge according to reservoir operation procedures, including: Ban Chat, Lai Chau, Trung Son, Ban Ve, Quang Tri, Song Ba Ha, Se San 3, Se San 4, Pleikrong, Ialy and Buon Kuop.
