On the afternoon of November 8, at the scene, reporters from Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television recorded the urgent atmosphere of the forces when installing the siphon system to increase the water discharge flow and reduce pressure on the dam body.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Quang, an officer of the Technical Department of the Duc Trong Area Construction Investment Project Management Board, said: "On the afternoon of November 8, the units will dispatch 4 more high-capacity pumps to drain water from the lake, quickly reduce the water level, and limit the risk of seepage and landslides."

As for the cracks in the dam body, the technical team has driven in Melaleuca piles and reinforced soil bags at the landslide locations. Up to now, the water seepage phenomenon has been basically handled, the main cracks have been temporarily fixed, ensuring the initial safety of the dam body.

At the same time, the authorities broke the overflow threshold and installed additional siphon pipes to speed up the lowering of the water level in the lake.

Also on November 8, specialized units located chemical injection drilling locations to fill gaps in the dam body, preventing the risk of water leakage. It is expected that on November 9, 48 chemical injection drillings will be carried out to reinforce the dam body, ensuring the tightness and stability of the lake structure.

Currently, the work to fix the problem at Cay An Lake is being carried out urgently and synchronously, in the spirit of "constructing and completing the paperwork at the same time". The forces are determined to complete the problem handling in the shortest time, ensuring absolute safety for the project and people in the downstream area.
