Heavy rains are mainly concentrated in the northern and central regions of Binh Thuan province (old), especially in the basins of the lakes: Khan River, Luy River, Quao River, Ca Giang and Tan Lap, rapidly increasing the water flow to the lakes.

Regarding the reservoir operation situation, according to the assessment of Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, the reservoirs in the area are all operated according to the correct procedures, actively regulated, and no construction incidents have occurred.
However, the amount of water flowing into Song Luy dam and canal 812 - Chau Ta is very large, the Company has proactively arranged excavators to regularly collect trash to ensure flood drainage.

In addition, thanks to early and reasonable operation, Song Luy and Song Quao reservoirs have made an important contribution to reducing flood peaks and the risk of flooding in downstream areas.
For reservoirs with regulating gates, the Company has operated to lower the water level below the design level to increase flood prevention capacity, to minimize discharge volume and minimize flooding in downstream areas.

As of the afternoon of November 8, the water levels of the lakes were stable, flood prevention capacity was still available, enough to welcome the next rain.
Currently, the Company is continuing to closely monitor the flood situation, closely coordinating with local authorities to promptly inform and respond to ensure safety of works and downstream areas.

On the afternoon of November 8, reservoirs in the Southeast of Lam Dong province were discharging water through the spillway, maintaining the water level at or below the normal water level. Specifically, Song Luy reservoir discharged 104.2m 3 /s; Song Quao discharged 61.85m 3 /s; Ba Bau discharged 134.8m 3 /s; Song Phan discharged 51.34m 3 /s; Song Mong discharged 35.34m 3 /s; Cam Hang discharged 31.65m 3 /s...
