On November 8, many fishing boats were anchored and suddenly sank at the estuary of Lam Dong province.
On the same morning, the water level of Dinh River rose and flowed rapidly near the estuary near La Gi Fishing Port (Phuoc Hoi Ward). At that time, fishing boat BTh 81196 TS with a capacity of 35 CV and a length of 7m was moving into the port when the water hit the boat, causing it to sink completely.

Not stopping there, two fishing boats BTh 85885 TS with a capacity of 310 CV, 14 meters long and fishing boat BTh 86131 TS with a capacity of 56 CV, 15 meters long, anchored at La Gi port were also overturned and sank by the current.

Also in the morning, due to the flood discharge of Song Luy reservoir, the water level on Luy river rose high and flowed strongly, causing fishing boat BTh 80681 TS, capacity 45CV, length 11m and fishing boat BTh 88320 TS, capacity 30CV, length 12m, which were anchored, to break their mooring ropes and drift out to the sea in Phan Ri Cua commune.

By the afternoon of the same day, the ship owners were still continuing to salvage the sunken fishing boat. Currently, the authorities have informed the fishing boat owners about the flood discharge situation, requesting the owners to proactively reinforce the anchorage, protect the boat, and minimize damage.
