Theerathon Bunmathan makes a strong statement
The 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Cup C1 final will take place in two legs. The first leg will be played on May 14 at Hang Day Stadium with the host being the Hanoi Police Club (CAHN). The second leg will be played on May 21 at Chang Arena of Buriram United (Thailand).

Before this match, famous player Theerathon Bunmathan, who is playing for Buriram United, said: "We lost to CAHN Club in the first round of the group stage of the Southeast Asian Cup 1 this season (1-2). But now we are confident that we will defeat the representative of Vietnamese football. Buriram United entered this tournament with the goal of winning the championship, and now we come to CAHN Club's field to achieve that goal."
Theerathon Bunmathan is an old friend of Vietnamese football. This player has a lot of connections with our country's football. At the AFF Cup 2020, Theerathon Bunmathan was the player mentioned the most in the semi-final of the Southeast Asian championship that year, especially Theerathon Bunmathan's elbow attack on midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai, which fooled the referee (AFF Cup 2020 has not applied VAR technology yet).
Two years later, Theerathon Bunmathan was once again mentioned at the AFF Cup 2022. This time, he captained the Thai team, scoring the only goal in the second leg of the final at Thammasat Stadium in Pathum Thani (Thailand), helping the Thai team win 1-0 in the second leg and beat the Vietnamese team 3-2 after two matches.
The star-studded team from Thailand
Claiming to defeat Nguyen Quang Hai's CAHN Club in the upcoming Southeast Asian Cup C1 final, Theerathon Bunmathan also predicted that CAHN will not be an easy opponent.

The Buriram United left-back added: "The second leg of the semi-final against BG Pathum United was not too difficult for us, because Buriram United led 3-1 after the first leg. The first leg was the turning point of the semi-final, not the second leg. We just tried to control the ball well in the second leg. The final against CAHN will not be that easy."
Buriram United not only has Theerathon Bunmathan, but the Thai team currently has many other stars, who are national or former national players of Thailand. These include goalkeeper Siwarak Tedsungnoen, left-back Sasalak Haiprakhon, center-back Pansa Hemviboon, midfielder Phitiwat Sukjitthammakul, strikers Supachai Chaided and Suphanat Mueanta.
Among them, Suphanat Mueanta is in the group of strikers who scored the second most goals at the AFF Cup 2024, equal to Nguyen Tien Linh, Patrick Guztavsson of Thailand and Shawal Anuar of Singapore (each with 4 goals), only 7 goals behind the top scorer Nguyen Xuan Son.
In addition, Buriram United also owns very famous players in Southeast Asian football, familiar to Vietnamese fans, including goalkeeper Neil Etheridge (Philippines, once the most expensive player in Southeast Asia, who played in the English Premier League), defender Jefferson Tabinas (Philippines) and defender Dion Cools (Malaysia).
How are tickets sold at Hang Day Stadium?
The appeal of the Southeast Asian Cup C1 final is therefore very great. CAHN Club has opened ticket sales for the first leg of the final on May 14, at Hang Day Stadium. Tickets are sold in two forms: directly and online. Tickets are sold directly at the CAHN Club office, 79 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. Online tickets are sold at https://datve.cahnfc.com.
Buriram United will arrive in Hanoi on the morning of May 12. The home and away teams will hold a press conference at noon on May 13, one day before the match.
