Having been attached to Trang An Eco-tourism Area for about 10 years now, every early morning, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, Truong Yen Commune, Hoa Lu District, is busy preparing the boat, checking the necessary items to welcome guests carefully and safely. Like many people here, tourism has brought her a new life, and her life is also more stable.

Ms. Huyen confided: "When I do the job I love, my whole day will be a happy day, not just a "living" day. I love this job, I love the guests who have the chance to sit on my boat."

In addition to raising awareness for those working in tourism and restoring order to destinations, Ninh Binh also focuses on improving professionalism in the quality of tourism services. Prices are publicly listed. Service quality is also a top priority for accommodation establishments.

Ms. Mai Thi Hue, representative of Tam Coc Valey homestay, said: "Most of the guests coming to the homestay are foreigners. In addition to improving foreign language skills, we also constantly upgrade equipment and facilities. Service prices are all public. This is also what foreign guests expect when coming to any tourist destination."

Comrade Nguyen Cao Tan, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, commented: Tourism is a multi-sector service economy with unique characteristics and profound cultural and humanistic values. The success of each tourist destination is not simply that tourists are satisfied with their taste to learn and explore the beauty of nature, people and history, but also that they are satisfied with the quality of service as well as service attitude, communication and behavior... Because of its uniqueness, tourism culture plays an important role in creating the impression, emotions and attitudes of tourists towards the tourist destination. This can be seen as soft power, determining the quality of service and attracting tourists to return to the destination.

In the context of the tourism industry starting to develop, to shape a sustainable direction, spreading the beauty of the land and people of the ancient capital Hoa Lu, the tourism industry has implemented many solutions such as researching and applying Vietnamese tourism professional standards; opening training courses to improve tourism knowledge and skills, foreign languages and civilized and polite communication style for staff, employees and local communities participating in tourism activities.

In the period 2009 - 2021, the industry has trained more than 18,000 people. In 2022 alone, more than 10 training courses were organized for departments and localities. In addition, Ninh Binh province has issued many synchronous policies and specific solutions on building master plans and detailed plans for tourism development. In particular, focusing on education and raising public awareness about tourism development... so that every citizen becomes a goodwill ambassador.

Typical thematic Resolutions on tourism development include Resolution No. 03-NQ/TU in 2001 on tourism development to 2010; Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU in 2009 on tourism development to 2020, with a vision to 2030; Resolution No. 02-NQ/TU in 2016 on preserving and promoting the value of the World Heritage Site of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU in 2021 on tourism development for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045.

In particular, Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU on building and developing Ninh Binh human culture to 2020, with a vision to 2030, to meet the requirements of integration and sustainable development. Thanks to timely decisions, the determination of Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the awareness of sustainable tourism exploitation of each local resident, a very long journey in building a brand has initially been successful.

Ninh Binh destination has been mentioned on many international travel websites such as Business insider, British newspaper Telegraph has given many compliments to Ninh Binh tourism.

Time Out travel site also named Ninh Binh as the number one destination in Southeast Asia with its pristine beauty like a precious gem in the middle of the sky. Online booking site Booking.com voted Ninh Binh in the top 10 friendliest destinations in the world... These are proofs of the power when the cultural identity of the people is awakened, contributing to affirming and spreading the Ninh Binh tourism brand to the world.

In order for Ninh Binh tourism brand to increasingly reach out on the domestic and international map, the tourism industry needs to continue to exploit and innovate quality tourism products, which are competitive and imbued with the cultural identity of the land and people of the ancient capital Hoa Lu. Tourist destinations, accommodation facilities and residential areas must always maintain a green, clean and beautiful environment; people must always respect and protect nature and the heritage of their ancestors. At the same time, continue to focus on building a healthy, rich cultural life, imbued with national identity; bearing the unique characteristics of each countryside, etc. Thus, Ninh Binh's friendly destination brand can truly spread, be sustainable and have its own identity in the current integration period.
