In particular, raising awareness and actively coordinating with the Police force in detecting and denouncing violations of laws on food safety.
At the same time, the staff unit of the Provincial Police Director directed officers and soldiers of the Economic Police force to coordinate with the Commune, Ward, and Town Police and related sectors to strengthen the work of grasping the situation and handling the acts of buying, selling, and transporting food of unknown origin, origin, and quality... affecting the health of consumers"...
Bac Lieu Police also launched propaganda and dissemination of food safety laws in densely populated areas and wholesale markets, hanging 40 banners and distributing over 2,000 leaflets and brochures to guide market management boards, small traders, food and food additive businesses, food service businesses, and people... on how to choose, process, and preserve food safely. Especially for fresh food, do not consume food, food additives of unknown origin, or poor quality food to prevent food poisoning.
In addition, Bac Lieu Police have stepped up propaganda and raised people's awareness to strictly comply with regulations on environmental hygiene and food safety according to the provisions of the Law on Food Safety and Decree 115 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions on food safety.

Ms. Ly Thi Hong Thao (a trader at the Bac Lieu City Agricultural and Food Market) shared: "As a trader at the agricultural and food market, for many years I have been regularly informed and disseminated knowledge related to food safety and hygiene by the police and the market management board. From there, I also realized the importance of maintaining food safety and hygiene, especially in choosing sources of supply as well as ensuring clean food for sale to consumers."
In addition to propaganda at markets, food safety issues in school and factory kitchens are always of special concern. At Hoa Sen Kindergarten (Ward 2, Bac Lieu City), there are about 650 children studying, and on average, the school has to prepare over 500 meals per day.
The authorities conducted a field inspection at the kitchen and found that the school strictly followed food safety regulations. In addition, the authorities checked licenses, food safety certificates, water source certificates, etc. At the same time, they reminded the school and teachers to do a good job of educating parents and children to pay attention to food safety when using street food.
Bac Lieu Provincial Police have focused their forces on synchronously deploying professional measures to grasp the situation, promptly detect, combat and strictly handle violations related to the production, processing, trading and transportation of poor quality food, food of unknown origin, not quarantined, using chemicals, additives, expired, erasing labels, etc.
Strengthen traffic control patrols on key routes, coordinate handling of transportation of food, additives, and preservatives of unknown origin, which do not ensure food safety.

Since the beginning of 2025, Bac Lieu Provincial Police have inspected 33 food production, processing, trading and catering establishments, thereby detecting 4 violations; detecting and handling 37 cases of buying, selling and transporting food, counterfeit goods and poor quality goods in the area. At the same time, forcing 270 food production, processing and trading establishments to sign a commitment to strictly comply with the provisions of the law on environmental protection and food safety. Thereby, contributing to limiting and preventing the spread of poor quality food on the market.
