Bao Lam District Police successfully completed its mission in 2024

(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of January 10, Bao Lam District Police held a conference to summarize police work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.

Reporting at the Conference, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Dau Xuan Bao - Chief of Bao Lam District Police, said: With the attention, direct and comprehensive leadership of the Party Committee, the Provincial Police Board of Directors, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the People's Committee of Bao Lam District and the coordination of the Provincial Police's professional departments, departments, branches and organizations of the district; the support and assistance of the People and the high solidarity and unity in the collective leadership, command and the entire force are the basis for the District Police to successfully complete the tasks of 2024. Thereby, achieving many outstanding achievements in ensuring security and order, maintaining social stability in the area.

In particular, the social order and safety situation has changed positively, creating trust for the masses. During the year, the District Police focused on fighting all types of crimes and achieved many outstanding results in all aspects of work. Thereby, 113 cases of social order were discovered and prosecuted, a decrease of 24 cases compared to the same period in 2023. Up to now, 93 cases have been investigated and clarified, reaching a rate of 82.35%; 217 related subjects have been arrested and prosecuted. During the year, the District Police also arrested and persuaded 3 wanted subjects to surrender; called, questioned, deterred, andeducated more than 185 prominent criminals in communes and towns in the area.

In particular, in the past year, Bao Lam District Police have discovered, investigated and prosecuted 13 cases, 28 defendants related to economic and position-related crimes such as storing and transporting prohibited goods, lending at high interest rates in civil transactions, violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences, illegally buying and selling invoices, tax evasion, violating regulations on land and forest product management, etc. Of which, the investigation agency has prosecuted 3 cases, 7 defendants related to corruption crimes such as bribery, embezzlement of assets and abuse of position and power while performing official duties. These are cases related to Minh Rong Tea Company and other land-related violations that have received the attention, sympathy and support of the masses.

Regarding drug crimes, 24 cases were fought and destroyed, 52 subjects were arrested for storing, trading and organizing illegal use of drugs; 28 subjects were proposed to be sent to compulsory drug rehabilitation; 34 cases were filed to apply local education measures to 10 drug addicts in the area; at the same time, 135 drug addicts with conditions to commit crimes were called, questioned, and educated in the communes and towns.

The district police have also focused on reviewing and making a list of prominent groups of criminals, criminals operating with gang elements, black credit, street crimes and theft crimes; at the same time, investigating and handling many subjects posting bad, toxic and false information on social networks... to effectively manage and prevent. The district police have also received 254 sources of information reporting crimes from the people, of which 235 sources of valuable information have helped the police force investigate, clarify and handle the cases.

In the field of traffic safety and order, the forces have focused on stepping up patrolling, checking and handling violations, especially during holidays and Tet. Thereby, administrative violation records were drawn up for 3,083 violations, and 1,118 vehicles of all kinds were temporarily detained. Currently, 2,191 cases have been handled, administrative violations were fined more than 4.7 billion VND and driving licenses were revoked for 538 cases. In addition, Bao Lam District Police have also promoted, mobilized, fought and achieved many outstanding results in the recovery of weapons, explosives, firecrackers and supporting tools, contributing to ensuring security and order in the area.

In the past year, Bao Lam District Police also focused on effectively implementing Project 06 of the Government to ensure "correct, sufficient, clean" population data; at the same time, promoting propaganda and dissemination of laws on crime prevention, traffic safety, and fire prevention and fighting to the general public.

With the achieved results, Bao Lam District Police had 20 groups and 171 individuals awarded by all levels from the central to local levels. In particular, Bao Lam District Police was awarded the title of Determined to Win Unit and Loc An Commune Police was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the Conference, Colonel Dinh Xuan Huy - Deputy Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police and Chairman of Bao Lam District People's Committee Truong Hoai Minh acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results that the District Police have achieved in all aspects of work. Thereby, pointing out a number of limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome in the coming time to well perform the political tasks of the unit and the locality in the coming time.

The leaders emphasized that 2025 is of special significance in successfully implementing the goals set by the 13th National Party Congress during the term. Thereby, creating momentum for bringing the country into a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise; a year of many important political events, especially the Lunar New Year and the Spring festival activities of 2025; Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress; resolutely implementing the policy of arranging and streamlining the organization of the political system, in the Public Security force.

In particular, the District Police need to focus on organizing attacks and strongly suppressing all types of crimes before, during and after the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025; focus on inspecting and handling acts of commercial fraud, trading in counterfeit and prohibited goods, especially essential goods for Tet and firecrackers; proactively combating drug crimes, gambling, online fraud, theft; ensuring security and order in entertainment areas, festivals to serve people to enjoy Tet and welcome Spring safely and happily.

On this occasion, Bao Lam District Police had 11 collectives awarded the title of Determined to Win Unit by the Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police and 36 individuals awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level; 9 units were awarded the title of "Cultural Unit, exemplary in implementing the People's Public Security Regulations" by the Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police.
