Painter Hoang Nhu Thuy An believes that writing poetry or painting is an act of artistic creation, a way to express oneself by reaching the end of one’s passion for beauty. In other words, artistic creation is a way to return to oneself, despite pain and loss.
“Therefore, artists have no choice but to be honest. Honest in their work. Honest in their life. To do so, artists must transcend ordinary life,” he said.

Painter Dang Mau Tuu - Former member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, commented on the paintings of Hoang Nhu Thuy An - who is also his friend: "Perhaps, after going through many hardships, Thuy An has calmed down and realized that there is no point in being angry when the clouds are still flying and the sun is still shining brightly.
The colors and images he seeks now are no longer confusing, but innocent with bright colors, sometimes brilliant, when using dark colors, they are deep and mysterious. Standing in front of his works, we feel relieved and love life more.
The exhibition is open until June 14.
