Sa Pa Ward Police Help 80-Year-Old Man Who Got Lost While Traveling With His Family

On July 9, Sa Pa Ward Police, Lao Cai Province received a thank you letter from Ms. Le Thi Trang, residing in Tu Liem Ward. In the letter, Ms. Trang expressed her deep gratitude to the officers and soldiers of Sa Pa Ward Police for helping her family find a relative who got lost while traveling in Sa Pa.

Previously, on July 5, during a trip with his family and agency in Sa Pa, Mr. Le Gia Tung, born in 1945, the biological father of Ms. Le Thi Trang, got lost and was taken to the Sa Pa Ward Police Station by local people.

After asking about his health and information, the old man only remembered his son's name and workplace in Hanoi .

With the little information, the Sa Pa Ward Police force worked all night to verify the information through the National Population Data System and the information about the son that the old man provided.

After more than 5 hours of searching, along with checking information about tourists in the area, the police force contacted the family and handed over Mr. Tung in stable health condition to his family.

Touched by the enthusiastic help of the Sa Pa Ward Police, after returning to Hanoi, Ms. Le Thi Trang, Mr. Tung's daughter, wrote a letter of thanks to all the officers and soldiers who helped the family find her father.

The action of promoting the sense of responsibility of the Sa Pa Ward Police force contributes to affirming Sa Pa as a friendly and safe destination.

The leaders of Sa Pa Ward Police have directed officers and soldiers in the area to continue to strengthen patrols, control, and grasp the situation to ensure security and order to serve local socio -economic development.
