Evidence was seized by authorities.
In the first 5 months of 2023, the security, order and social safety situation continued to be maintained stably. However, crimes at different times and places are still complicated; economic difficulties after the Covid-19 pandemic have led to the risk of crime, especially cases of illegal use of weapons, explosives, and supporting tools to commit crimes, take revenge on individuals, etc. The subjects mainly buy weapons, explosives, and supporting tools via the internet, express delivery services, home delivery, and money transfers with sophisticated tricks, causing difficulties in handling.
Identifying the important role and significance of the mobilization work to recover weapons, explosives, and supporting tools in preventing and fighting crimes, in recent times, the provincial police force has resolutely implemented measures to promote the management and recovery of weapons, explosives, and supporting tools. Although there are still many difficulties, the initial work has achieved high efficiency.
Agencies and units mobilize each household, agency, enterprise, and student in the area to sign a commitment not to produce, trade, transport, store, or illegally use weapons, support tools, and explosives; post up points for receiving weapons, explosives, support tools, fireworks, and dangerous toys for people to hand over; coordinate with all levels and sectors to promote the role of prestigious people and key cadres to propagate and mobilize people to both voluntarily hand over and actively fight and denounce illegal trading, transport, storage, and use of weapons, explosives, and support tools, contributing to ensuring good security and order right from the grassroots level.
A representative of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of the Provincial Police said that the unit advised the Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors on many documents directing the police force to strengthen propaganda and mobilize all people to hand over weapons, explosives, and support tools in the province.
However, currently, in society, young people also use dangerous weapons to disrupt security and order. In addition to promoting propaganda, the provincial police have stepped up the fight and strictly handled subjects, gangs, and chains of production, storage, transportation, and trading of weapons, explosives, and supporting tools on cyberspace and in society. The police have seized and recovered 15 guns that shoot ball bearings, lead bullets, and 69 unassembled components into guns.
Recently, through an administrative inspection of a house in Quarter 4, Ward IV, Tay Ninh City, the police discovered a black gun, the magazine contained 6 copper-colored shells, 337 iron balls and some other related objects. Through a quick drug test, 3 subjects tested positive. At the police station, the subjects confessed to buying the gun for storage and use. The case was investigated and handled by the authorities according to regulations.
The act of storing, buying, selling, or transporting weapons, explosives, or supporting tools in any form is a violation of the law. Tay Ninh police recommend that people do not participate in buying, selling, transporting, or using weapons, explosives, or supporting tools in any form. When people discover acts of buying, selling, transporting, storing, or using weapons, explosives, or supporting tools, they should promptly report to the nearest police agency for timely prevention.
In the coming time, the police force will continue to promote state management, propaganda, and mobilize people to hand over weapons, explosives, and supporting tools, attracting the active participation of departments, branches, and organizations, contributing to preventing crimes and ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.
