Responding to the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025" launched by the Ministry of Public Security and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Party members, officers and soldiers of the Ca Mau Provincial Police have contributed 3 days of salary to the budget for implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in general and Ca Mau province in particular.

As of May 2025, the Provincial Police contributed nearly 4.5 billion VND to the fund of the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province to respond to the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

In addition to financial contributions, the Provincial Police Director directed the establishment of 101 volunteer youth groups, including 1 group under the Provincial Police Youth Committee and 100 groups under the police of communes, wards and towns to support human resources and working days to dismantle old houses, transport soil to build foundations, and transport construction materials for a number of households benefiting from the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoang Vu, Chief of Khanh An Commune Police, U Minh District, said: “Ms. Tong Kim Mai’s family is a relative of a martyr of the People’s Public Security, a poor household in Hamlet 7, Khanh An Commune, and has received financial support from Ca Mau Provincial Police to build a new house. Ms. Mai lives with her son who is mentally ill, so there are no workers in the house, so the demolition of the old house will be very difficult. Therefore, the Commune Police proactively assigned forces to coordinate with the commune’s departments, branches, and organizations to support. With the determination to implement the program, Khanh An Commune Police supported the local temporary house demolition fund, and mobilized benefactors to support poor and near-poor households in the area.”

Khanh An Commune Police, U Minh District supported working days to help Ms. Tong Kim Mai's family dismantle the old house to build a new one.

Khanh An Commune Police, U Minh District supported working days to help Ms. Tong Kim Mai's family dismantle the old house to build a new one.

From the beginning of 2024 until now, from the People's Public Security Comradeship Fund and support from benefactors, the Provincial Public Security has organized the construction and repair of 26 houses for poor households, near-poor households, policy families, families worshiping martyrs of the People's Public Security, and police war invalids in the province with a total cost of over 3 billion VND.

The specific and practical actions of the police force in the province have contributed to the effective implementation of the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses of the Party, the State, the Public Security sector and Ca Mau province. Mr. Huynh Minh Luan, Hamlet 7, Thoi Binh town, Thoi Binh district, shared: "My family received 70 million VND from the Ca Mau Provincial Police to repair the house of gratitude built 20 years ago. The Thoi Binh Town Police force supported my family in moving materials and building the foundation, thereby shortening the construction time. My family thanks the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ca Mau Provincial Police for their support and help so that we can have a decent house and a stable life."

Through the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", many poor households and families with meritorious services have been supported to build solid houses, no longer living in temporary and dilapidated houses. Each completed house is not only a physical construction but also a symbol of trust and solidarity between the police force and the people. This is a practical work, demonstrating the spirit of "Serving the people" of the police force, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, building a solid people's security posture right from the grassroots./.
