Thai Nguyen Provincial Police mobilized to ensure traffic safety and order

(PLVN) - On the morning of April 22, Thai Nguyen Provincial Police held a launching ceremony to implement the Peak Plan for Handling Violations to ensure traffic order and safety during the April 30 and May 1 holidays and improve the effectiveness of handling violations according to Decree No. 168/ND-CP/2024 of the Government.

According to the plan, the Traffic Police force of Thai Nguyen province will organize plans to divide traffic, route, guide and control traffic to serve the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1).

Mobilize forces, technical equipment and vehicles to synchronously deploy preventive measures and promptly resolve traffic congestion and traffic accidents. The peak period will be implemented from now until May 20.


In particular, the Traffic Police will coordinate with the Mobile Police force, police of communes, wards and towns to increase patrols and mobile control, focusing on national highways, provincial roads, district roads in urban areas and points where traffic jams and accidents frequently occur.

Strictly handle a series of acts of speeding, drinking and driving, illegal racing, gathering to disturb public order, etc.

The provincial police also said they will promote the application of technology in handling violations, especially traffic surveillance camera systems and automatic processing software, thereby improving transparency and efficiency in state management of traffic safety and order.

Increase mobile propaganda activities, distribute leaflets, coordinate with media agencies to report news, warn of violations, and share typical cases.

In particular, according to the new regulations in Decree 168/2024/ND-CP effective from January 1, 2025, the fines for many violations have been increased, while new sanctions have been added such as temporary detention of vehicles in serious violations and on-the-spot revocation of driving licenses if necessary.
