More than 115 artists from Ho Chi Minh City participate in Journey to the Source

Celebrating major holidays and important historical events of Ho Chi Minh City and the country: 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee organized a journey to the source for artists of the City in 2025 with the theme "Following the footsteps of the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975".

The Journey to the Source program aims to educate politics, ideology, and widely propagate among artists and writers about the significance, stature, and heroic historical value of the nation; affirm the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , President Ho Chi Minh, and the spirit of great national unity as the decisive factor for the victory of the spring victory in 1975.

Thereby helping young artists better understand the value of peace, independence, freedom and arousing patriotism, sense of responsibility, and will to preserve the sovereignty of the homeland; gathering and creating a source of core political artists to propagate and implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

The journey to the source “Following the footsteps of the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975” had the participation of about 115 delegates who were veteran artists who especially participated in the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975; outstanding artists of the city’s Literature and Arts Associations, art units under the Department of Culture and Sports of the city; artists who have made many contributions to promoting and preserving national art and traditional culture, actively participating in the city’s political and social programs, serving compatriots and soldiers in remote areas, border areas, islands, etc.

The journey back to the source is expected to take place in 4 days, from May 27-30, in Kon Tum province, Gia Lai province, Dak Lak province, Binh Phuoc province with many meaningful activities.

In Kon Tum province, the program will organize a study tour of the Dak To - Tan Canh victory, Phuong Hoang Airport; perform a flag-raising ceremony at the Bo Y border gate flagpole; give gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, compatriots and families of soldiers in difficult circumstances...

In Gia Lai province, there will be an incense offering ceremony at the provincial martyrs cemetery; a visit to the Great Unity Square, incense burning at Uncle Ho's Temple; an art performance to show gratitude and give gifts to 100 policy families...

In Dak Lak province, organize a tour and learn about the Buon Ma Thuot Prison relic, the provincial museum, see the Buon Ma Thuot victory model, the key battle that led to the victory of the general offensive on April 30, 1975...

In Binh Phuoc province, there will be a tour of the National historical site, the Ta Thiet revolutionary base, which was the base of the Military Commission - Command of the armed forces of the Liberation Army of South Vietnam...
